A temperature monitoring and tracking solution has been launched Navman Wireless for operators refrigerated vehicle fleets.

The company says the system allows real-time remote data capture from all leading temperature monitoring devices, whether they are stand-alone units or built-in data loggers. Interfaces are supplied for all leading temperature monitoring devices commonly used in refrigerated transport.

The system is said to be suitable for use in refrigerated vans, trucks and trailers. It allows compliance with all current legislation – including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Back at base, fleet managers can view temperature and vehicle location data at the same time through a customisable graphic interface, and receive real-time alerts triggered by out-of-range conditions.

* Navman Wireless has announced a second-generation version of its iPhone app, which allows mobile access to its OnlineAVL vehicle tracking system. The company claims that its original app was the first of its kind in the industry.
