The routing and scheduling software from Paragon can now link to Google’s live traffic information with just one click from the system’s Workbench.

The new feature is said to provide regularly updated, colour-coded views of traffic events on UK roads and motorways. The new functionality also provides useful information about typical traffic conditions for specific times and days.

Managing director William Salter says the company has added this capability in response to customer requests. "By linking seamlessly to Google Maps, the software provides familiar turn-by-turn routing instructions, and can also verify customer sites on the Paragon planned routes by using street-level views and satellite images to show the actual physical locations."

He adds that this can be particularly useful where customers share postcodes with other businesses.
