Saudi company to track up to 3,000 trucks

In one of the biggest vehicle tracking system contracts announced this year, Ctrack (the UK division of the international DigiCore telematics group) has been selected to supply systems for up to three thousand vehicles operated by a Saudi Arabian waste management company, Al Fahhad.

Initially 860 vehicles will be fitted with tracking units 860 vehicles for a waste management contract with Riyadh Municipality, which includes street cleansing and refuse collection.

The solution is intended to help Al Fahhad achieve optimum fleet performance by minimising overheads. Ctrack will support the technology solution through a consultancy service.

The announcement underlines the point that the challenges of integrated Ctrack with acquired company Minorplanet have not distracted the enlarged company from finding new outlets for its products.
